A backlink checker for your site and the ones you compete with

See who links to you, which links are new and which you've lost, and which sites link to your competitors but not to you. SEOpen keeps a weekly snapshot of your backlink totals and charts new and lost links month by month, with a link review that explains every risk score it gives.

What you see

  • The overview

Backlinks, referring domains, domain rank, the share of follow links, spam score and the top level domains that link to you.
  • New and lost, by month

Twelve months of links and referring domains gained and lost, so a sudden drop or a burst of odd links stands out.
  • Link gap

Sites that link to your competitors and not to you. For a small site, that's the most useful outreach list there is.
  • A link review you can follow

Each link gets a 0 to 100 risk score from rules you can read, not a mystery number. Export a disavow file if you decide you need one.

How it runs

  1. Every Monday

    Snapshot

SEOpen records your backlink totals each week, covered by your plan, so the trend builds without you doing anything.
  2. On demand

    Dig in

Open the full backlink list, referring domains, anchors or a link gap when you need them. These lookups use research credits, priced before they run.
  3. Any time

    Review

Sort links by risk, read why each one scored as it did, and keep or disavow.

What it doesn't do

So you can decide before you sign up, not after.

  • New and lost links are counted by month, not day. Backlink data is gathered by crawling the web, which takes time anyway.
  • No outreach tools: no email finder, no campaign tracker.
  • It doesn't buy, build or sell links, and it won't suggest you do.
  • The link index is DataForSEO's. No index sees every link on the web, so totals differ from Search Console's links report.

On each plan

Questions

How do I check who links to my site?
Search Console's links report lists Google's sample for free. SEOpen adds DataForSEO's backlink index: every referring domain it has found, the anchor text, follow or nofollow, and when each link appeared or disappeared.
What is a referring domain?
A website that links to you at least once. Ten links from one site count as one referring domain, which is usually the better measure of how widely you're linked.
Should I disavow bad links?
Usually not. Google ignores most spammy links on its own. A disavow file is for links you built or paid for that you now regret, or after a manual action.
What does a link gap show?
Sites that link to one or more of your competitors but not to you. They already link to sites like yours, so they're the likeliest to link to you too.
